Margarida's Christmas Farofa: The Best Farofa in the World
Margarida was one of those people you have known for as long as you can remember, who eventually becomes part of the family. She cared for my grandmother, my great-aunt and my dear mum. She also always helped my aunts in the kitchen and on special occasions such as Christmas.
She was a wonderful cook. At Christmas, she helped with all sorts of things, including making the Christmas farofa. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! The recipe is quite straightforward, but as the saying goes, the secret is not in the recipe but in the cook's hands.
This article is a tribute to Margarida and the Christmas memories she left with our family.
Margarida, you will remain in my memory and in my cousins' memories for the rest of our lives. Thank you for everything. Thank you for taking such good care of my dear mum.❤️

- Chop and measure out all the ingredients on the list, then set them aside separately.
- Place the frying pan on the hob over a low heat.

- Add the onion and stir.
- Stir well until the onion is translucent.
